Anil Gangolli is a developer, architect, and consultant on software development.

He has worked at a number of Silicon Valley companies at different stages of their growth, holding development and technical management roles. These include Sun Microsystems (1991-93), SGI (1993-95), Netscape (1995-97), Structured Arts (1997-99), myCFO (1999-2002), and Zaplet (2002-2004).

He is currently employed by A9, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amazon.com.

As a developer, he has worked mostly on multi-tier server platforms and applications.

He holds a Ph.D. (1991) in Computer Science, and a B.Sc. (1984) in Mathematical Sciences, both from Stanford University.

He is currently interested in application development platforms based on open-source Java components.
