BIND pilot error

A few of the small number of friends who even try to read the site reported that they couldn’t reach http://www.busybuddha.org due to name resolution problems. Hmm, my DNS secondary wasn’t getting updates, so it still was serving from domain records that didn’t include www. But why? Inspecting the BIND and firewall configs turned up no clue; the source port directives and firewall rules were ok. Then I realized I hadn’t been updating the serial number for the domain. Duh. With that adjustment, things seem to be working fine.
